So, you are probably looking for a way to make some extra cash. You might even be looking for a way to get rid of your day job and work from home. After doing a bit of research you probably learned a little bit about MLM systems. "MLM" stands for "multi-level marketing" and as its name states, involves marketing with different levels of distributors and clients.

MLM systems have been lurking around for several years and have already helped most people to make a good amount of money. Sadly, these MLM systems have not yet updated their strategy of attracting prospective customers and affiliates, which make them to trail behind those that have a newer and up to date marketing strategies the likes of top-tier marketing system, what is happening?

MLM systems are falling and failing behind because of one of the most integral part that is being overlooked - the marketing strategy. With all the sales strategies that have come and gone by for years, people are already used to it and has grown tired of the way most MLM systems sell their products and services. You may even compare MLM systems to a door-to-door salesman that knocks on your day and starts pitching his sales talk. Be real! People don't have all the time in the world to entertain sales talk. For this fact, most people have set up call restrictions to prohibit phone companies for letting sales calls in.

MLM systems encourage their new distributors to pick up the phone and start calling everybody they know to tell them about their new job and promote their new product. For most of us, that means starting with our family and friends. This is very outdated and also quite embarrassing, since the people we know will most likely avoid us after we try our first sales pitch. It's also not very good business to have to promote your product to such a small audience. Besides, if the idea is to make money fast why should we spend so much time (and money) on phone calls?

Another factor that makes MLM systems to trail behind is the fact that they FORCE you to start at the very bottom and start to work your way up which means that it will take you a longer period of time to make your extra income and the competition with thousands of other enthusiastic newbie, some of which probably have more experience in the sales department compared to you. Add the fact that most MLM systems do not give trainings to their members, so how will you go on selling the products. Now those are concrete evidences why MLM systems marketing strategies are falling and failing behind.

What are you going to do about it? Well, the best thing you can do is try to look for an MLM system that employs some of the marketing techniques seen in top tier marketing. In other words, look for a business that doesn't depend so much on your downline and offers you some direct benefits early along. It is also very important to research and find some better options, like top tier marketing itself.
