What options do you have if you want to display your banner indoors? Luckily for you, there are several options available that cover all price ranges.

The first option is the banner rail. Banner rails are attached to the top and bottom of a banner. The top rail will have some type of hook that allows you to hang the banner from the ceiling. By attaching a second rail to the bottom of the banner for tension, you get a banner that will hang straight and taught.

If you want your banner down on the ground, you have several choices. The first type is the L frame banner stand. The bottom of the banner slides into a slot on the base and the top attaches to a clamp rail. The good ones will have an adjustable height pole for flexibility in banner design. This system is not the most portable of the options.

The X frame system is a very popular and versatile option. As the name suggests, four lightweight rods form an X with hooks on the end of each to attach the banner to. A fifth rod is used to form a tripod stand and to adjust the viewing angle of the banner. This can be used in a portable manner.

The third option is the retractable banner display. This type of display is the most commonly seen type as they are popular with trade show attendee's. This system is lightweight and has the added advantage of storing the banner inside the retractor. That ensures the banner stays safe and secure during transport.

Retractable systems also have the most variables associated with them. The first is the overall quality of the hardware. Economical systems are designed for very light use, maybe one to two times per year. If used in that context, they work very well. More expensive systems are necessary for high volume use as the internal components are of a significantly higher quality.

Another important factor with retractable systems is how the banner mounts to the system. Almost all systems use a top rail that clamps onto the top of the banner, but how the bottom of the banner is attached is where the choices are.

Many systems use a leader and banner tape to attached your banner to the system. This is fine if you are buying an economical system. The downside is that it is very hard to change banners out once you have the first one in.

The best systems use a slide rail that attached to the bottom of your banner and is inserted into a slot in the retractor mechanism. Since most systems of this type provide multiple slides, you can very easily alternate between multiple banners depending on your current needs.

In conclusion, it is important to know what type of banner display system is best suited to your needs and avoid costly mistakes when purchasing your banner display systems.
