You hear it everywhere that with today's economy its difficult to make it. But I'm here to tell you otherwise. The situation we are in is an actually ideal time to take over your competition, get a flood of new customers and get into position to start making real profits. The real point is to use your head and use all your resources right. We all want to save money while getting a flood of new customers. I have included 3 things you can do now to start getting those leads now. 1. Market Your Business Online The Internet is a huge force and consumers are relying on it big time. Consequently, other media like the yellow pages and newspapers are dying a slow death. If you're still spending money these, I hope it's only because you're already maxing out your Internet marketing efforts. The advantage to Pay Per Click marketing is that you are creating targeted ads that put you right in front of ready-to-buy leads right when they are looking to buy. No other advertising does that. Plus you are only paying for people who click on your ad. Apart from PPC, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a part of Online marketing that is FREE! SEO is a process of getting your website ranking higher by getting the search engines to recognize you have the right content for certain keywords. For example, if you're in Sugar Land, TX and you provide SEO services, you'd want to rank well for 'SEO Sugar Land TX'. If you can get your website onto the 1st page of Google, the amount of leads it could get your business could keep you busy for the next couple years. I don't necessarily agree with traditional SEO where you only rank one page on the first page of Google. With special techniques I like to rank for as many as 7 out of the 10 links leading back to my business. 2. Use Highly Targeted Direct Mail If you're sending out direct mail, but aren't doing anything to make sure it's highly targeted, you're wasting both time and money. The most effective means of getting new customers is still direct mail but that is only if its done right. Most companies send out thousands of postcards to people in a general area but don't consider if they really are a prospect. To be most effective, I recommend trimming your direct mail list to somewhere around 1,000-2,500 names, depending on your budget, and then send them not just one postcard or letter, but send them a series of letters, once a month or so over the next 12-18 months. The results you get from this will definitely crush the results you get from just sending out the one marketing piece. 3. Create Joint Venture Relationships This method is one of the most overlooked marketing methods. I mean the name of the game is "get your sales message in front of as many qualified prospects as possible", right? Well, as you no doubt already know, it's an extremely expensive and time consuming proposition. In deed when you partner up with companies that are already working with your ideal client you bypass both the time and expense part because you're borrowing the trust and credibility your JV partner has with his client list. The greatest way to do this is get non-competitive businesses that already have your ideal customer as theirs. Next, create an amazing offer that your JV partner can offer their customers by using your name. Next your partner sends out a marketing piece informing his customers of this 'free gift'. This gives him a lot of satisfied customers and gets you a boatload of new qualified customers for your business. Listen I'm not going to sugar coat things and tell you all this economic turmoil is just a bunch of baloney made up by the news media. Yes, I do believe they tend to exaggerate things quite a bit, but the problems we're seeing are very real. However, it doesn't mean you can't still create a thriving, profitable business amidst the storm. All it takes is a little focus, some determination, but most importantly SMART execution of solid business principles. Now it is your job to put these 3 ideas into action for your business.
